Patrick Caffrey, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with almost forty years experience as a rehabilitation psychologist and neuropsychologist providing direct patient care in brain injury rehabilitation hospitals and acute hospital settings, serving the diagnostic categories of chronic neurological disease; i.e: MS, spinal cord injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury, blind and low vision and brain tumors. He has additional extensive experience as a vocational specialist, a regional manager in private sector rehabilitation, in a university-based technical assistance project to Missouri educators modifying curriculum for disabled students, as a site supervisor of psychological services, as a visiting university lecturer and in hospital teaching.

Dr. Caffrey also brings his unique perspective as a survivor of a C3-C4 incomplete spinal cord injury with resulting quadriplegia from a 1972 Center Senior High School wrestling match. He recovered well and connects with patients and their families because of the shared experience of a life-altering injury. Dr. Caffrey's mother was diagnosed with MS in 1981. Dr. Caffrey, as a neuropsychologist, has joined the staff of neurologists, neurosurgeons, physiatrists and neuro-radiologists of the Mid-America Brain and Stroke Institute of St Luke's Health System group and also maintains a private practice.
