Patrick Caffrey, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with over twenty-five years experience as a rehabilitation psychologist and neuropsychologist providing direct patient care in brain injury rehabilitation hospitals and acute hospital settings, serving the diagnostic categories of chronic neurological disease i.e. MS, spinal cord injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury, blind and low vision and brain tumors. He has additional extensive experience as a vocational specialist, regional manager in private sector rehabilitation, in a university-based technical assistance project to Missouri educators modifying curriculum for disabled students, site supervisor of psychological services, visiting university lecturer and in hospital teaching.

Dr. Caffrey also brings his unique perspective as a survivor of a C3-C4 incomplete spinal cord injury with resulting quadriplegia from a 1972 Center Senior High School wrestling match. He recovered well and connects with patients and their families because of the shared experience of a life-altering injury. Dr. Caffrey's Mother was diagnosed with MS in 1981. Dr. Caffrey, as a neuropsychologist, has joined the staff of neurologists, neurosurgeons, physiatrists and neuro-radiologists of the Mid America Brain and Stroke Institute of St Luke's Health System group and also maintains a private practice.
